I have not tried it, but I think it requires modification of the width. It seems I remember someone telling me that the 351W bar is too wide compared teh the 351C, but that was the only difference. Hacksaw time!
I used the same Z-bar on my '65 with 289, 302, 351W, & 351C engines with no major problems. I also used the same bellhousing (Lakewood) and motor mounts on each one so that may be where some of the differences are that people talk about.
