I currently have a 8" 4 lug rearend and axles. I want to go to 5 lug but down know what I need to do to accomplish this. Does anyone out there have the knowledge to help me. Thanks Chris. If you could email me direct at [email protected]

Need more info about your car. Question is generic; but answer is not.

First make sure it's an 8" and not one of those 7 3/4". check to see if it has a front or rear removable plate. If it comes off the back, it's the 7 3/4" and you'll need to go find a good 8".

Is this a pinto or mustang2 rear end?
Regardless take out the axles and have a machine shop redrill and spline them to the 5 lug pattern, the street rod and racers do this all the time.

They made 8" as a 4 lug for the Mavericks. Pretty rare though. Do the check first though.
