PO says that the carb on my 65 289 is a 4100. I cannot find any of the regular #'s that should be stamped on the carb. What I have found on the drivers side of the float bowl is a circle about the size of a dime with the letters EDT in the middle. Below the circle is a code 82 U C. Can anyone help ID this carb. Iwant to rebuild it but can't figure out what it is.
Thanks Phil

Look on the left forward toe on the base of the carb (the one closest to the accelerator pump arm right where the intake manifold stud is). You should see a series of 5 numeric/alpha characters e.g. C5ZF-B. That will tell your parts store what rebuild kit you need.

EDT should be a 1.12 4100 for a 1957-58 352-4v Engine with an auto transmission.
Ford Full Size and Thunderbird.
