$475,000 Shelby????

I was talking with my friend today and she was telling me about someone she recently went out with.

He had told her that he recently sold a '67 Shelby for $475,000, and he could have gotten more if the engine codes matched up. He said that was dark blue with a removable hardtop (?), and that it was raced at Sebring.

In all of your vast knowledge, does a car like this (or worth that much) exist??? (Or is this just a get in your pants ploy?) Is it possible that she could be confusing this with an AC? Even still would an AC bring that much dough?
