Hello, all. I've got a 1967 coupe that was an original 6 cyl car. I'm converting to a V8 and put a 9 inch in it. I've got the stock axle from the car and don't have any clue what it is. I've looked up websites for axle codes and only found 8" and 9" codes. I also read that 6 cyl cars came with 7.25 and 7.75" axles. Anyone know what I've got???? The code is...

WCY EX
320 6HB 902

Thanks for the help.

Mike

PS - If anyone out there lives in the Detroit area and wants to pick it up, I'm willing to give it away. It's got 16k miles on it and as far as I know, it's never been cracked open. If interested, please email [email protected] Thanks.

WCY's are 7.25" rear ends for 6 cylinders...useless for any kind of performance. It appears to be a 3.20:1 rear axle ratio, however...not a bad ratio. I presume your wheels are four lug versions, and not five...
