Hi,
I have a 64 1/2 coupe with a 260 V8.I believe the block would have been black, the valve covers and air cleaner base and lid would have been blue? The snorkle would have then been black?Would the snorkle and block be the same black? Am I correct in these assumptions? If so I then wonder would the paint be a gloss or a semi gloss? I am not looking to make the car trailered concourse ,It is going to be a nice driver and I would like it to be correct. I was going to order rattle can engine paint from C.J.'S So I wanted to make sure I ordered the right paint.I believe 64 1/2's used a lighter blue than 66 and later Ford corporate blue. I appreciate any and all input. Thanks

The closest match is '70 Grabber Blue exterior paint. The "Old Ford Blue" in a spray bomb would probably be ok for what you're doing. It's not exact, but different that FCB. Engine block assembly should be semi-gloss, air cleaner snorkel is the same.
