How hard is to replace the door latch on my 65 coupe, I have 1 off my donor car but it was easy to remove without the outer skin :), but it looked like it may be tuff to install. ::

Yep, it's a little tough. You have to basically take the door parts apart to get to the latch. Beleieve it or not, it's easier to take the door off the car and put it on a work bench with old towels underneath to avoid scratching the paint in order to get to it.

I must be missing something here. The door latch itself is a piece of cake to remove. putting the rods on it can be a little challenge if you have fat fingers, but even they aren't very difficult.

The latch is only held in place by the screws visible on in the jamb area.

... or am I talking about something all together different?
