I just finished installing the upper trim on my 65 fastback's dash pad. Thats when I noticed I am missing the bottom metal trim that holds it down. Is there any way to do this without that trim? I tried holding it down with screws, but it strips the dash pad. It wont hold all the stress. Right now the dash pad looks horrible and it bends up on each corner, and bulges out. Any suggestions? PLEASE! Thanks in advance!!

You do need the metal strips and as far as I knnow they are not reproduced, You'll have to get them at a swap meet or a used supplier

I just happen to have 2 sets of the trim you need. I have a 65 coupe with a 66 dash pad. I haven't decided whether to get 66 molding or purchase a new 65 dash pad. Either way, you can have one set. I will look at them tomorrow because one set is better than the other. Let me look at them and I can email pics if you want.
