I know that a '66 DB will fit on a '65, but it seems to me that there was a thread a long time ago, that I cannot find, about there being some things that had to be modified? I am trying to turn a '65 FB into a '66 clone with the quarter windows, etc, and thought it would be nice if I could put the '66 dashpad in. It has to be changed anyway due to sun/heat damage.

Actually, the ears around the radio, don't have any bolts in them IIRC, the 2 dash pad studs above the radio are in the exact same place as the '65, so that's not an issue. The biggest issue in putting a '66 dash pad in a '65 would be the "ears" at each end of the dash pad. There's a stud in each "ear", that you'll have to drill a hole in the dash for. Also, the '66 doesn't use the chrome trim along the bottom of the pad.
