65 vert, December 64 Dearborn build.
Would the oil filler cap decal be the Red/White color or the Brown/Yellow
Virginia Classics sell the individual sticker in the Brown/Yellow color but NPD calls their Red/White one "concours"
Is there a clear cut answer ?

Thanks for all the Great information !!

I forwarded your question to our Ford Project Manager Scott Halseth (who is also a MCA Gold Card Judge), and the following is what he had to say:

"To whom it may concern,

I have seen it argued both ways. I am not aware of any clear cut answer. I can say that the known factory original caps I have had both used and NOS were actually water soluable decals and not stickers, so I do not believe any of the reproductions are truly factory correct. But since MCA allows for reproductions in the concours class they are accepted there. As for white/red and tan/red we have both. D-57 for tan & D-MC252 for white. I have not seen any clear evidence to draw a solid conclusion. MY preference is tan because that is what I have seen in my limited examples but there are those that say they have seen the white decals."
