What in the world could I have done wrong. Ordered the correct parts and yet it looks like weatherstrip is about two to three inches too long. Did I do something incorrect? Pictures below. Thanks in advance

If you start at the front and don't push it back toward the front as you go, it'll "stretch" and end up long. Did you glue it?

Yeesh. I can't imagine it would be that far off unless you got the wrong year or body style sent to you.

You definitely don't stretch it as you install it, you compress it.
