OK I have used all original parts for the resto, have good doors etc. the passenger side is perfect, it closes snug thats it.

The drivers side closes and locks but if I pull the outside handle the door comes out 1/2 inch.
The door handles are Ford, the striker plates are new and I just replaced the door latch hoping that it was the problem and it still isnt staying snug. So whats' going on here? Im lost.
The latch is a reproduction but it is doing the same thing my original was,

Is this a striker plate adjustment or what, another bad latch??

Make sure your striker plate is tight. Maybe you're pulling it out of adjustment when you pull the door, and pushing it back when you slam it closed. Mark it's location and try it again.

have you installed the door weatherstrip yet?

this is most likely a striker plate adjustment.
