Are there any factory holes for the dual tailpipe hangers? The only holes I see are where the single exhaust muffler hangers were. Do I use these or are there supposed to be holes for bolts somewhere else?
BTW-this car was originally single exhaust and since I had the duals from my last p.o.s., I figured "Why buy another system?" Thanks,Bob

There are holes for factory dual exhaust in two places. In the frame rails all the way towards the back of the car (two in each side). In the floor pan where the rear foot well comes up (for each
muffler) I can send you an Email photo of the back ones...

There are no factory holes for dual exhaust on a single exhaust car. I installed a dual exhaust last year and used one of the holes of the tie down brackets with homemade exhaust hangers. You also need 2 hangers to support the mufflers.
Ooooh yes......the rear brake hose might burn against the hot exhaust. Change the rear brakeline for a dual exhaust setup or (like I did) do a little bending !
Good luck

Here are two links supplied by "horseheaven" on the old forum. It shows in pictures and also a template. I belive Ervin is correct concerning that there are no holes in the frames on a single exhaust car (like mine for example)
hope this helps,
Claes

Only if your car originally had dual exhaust. Floors and rear frame rails were not one size fits all ;)

O.K.-then how the hell do I convert it? I'd hate to drill holes in my frame. Thanks for the input, suggestions, pics, templates, advice, anything. Bob
