I removed the coil springs from my 66 coupe and noticed they had a pink stripe on them, does anybody know the rate of these? I have also noticed looking in catalogs that all 65s used the same springs other than GT, however 66 had different springs for v8 cars. My car is being converted from a 6 and I was wondering if the 6 cyl springs will hold up to a V8 when being used as just a cruiser?

Don't see any "Pink" in the database, closest thing would be a Lavendar stripe used on some 65 and 66's. Basically some body styles with no options (read lighter spring rate)

Please understand that spring rate depended on body style, engine, trans, options and production period.

Mine also was a 66 6-cyl. when the former owner put the 302 in he did upgrade to 8cyl. coils, im not sure of the difference but im guessing much better handling for the extra weight.
