I am working on the final assembly of my 66 GT FB assembled in San Jose in October of 65. The car is Signal Flare Red with black pony interior. I see a lot of pics of Signal Flare cars with both black and white side stripes but I have run across info online that says the Signal Flare Red cars should only have white stripes. Does anyone know what is correct?

Hmmmmm.... unsure why I am posting the same image twice ? But anyhow, WHITE is the only factory correct stripe color. Taken from Mustang Monthly `66 illustrated facts book, which came from a Ford source. Dean

It's just vinyl. I would do whichever you prefer. For me, that would be black stripes to go with the black interior. If you show it, let a judge tell you to swap it.

I know this isn't necessarily a concors way to think, but... yeah.
