On the rear of my 67 I have a 215/75/14. It fits and I could go to a 225, but I dont think even in a 14 the 235 will fit without rubbing.

My neighbor's '65 has a 245 on the rear, but he has a 1" narrowed axle and wheels with the offset to fit the tire in the wheel well properly.

Many people (myself included) run a 235 or even 245 rear tire on a 65/66. What’s the backspacing and width of your wheels? That’s the key. I run 235/45/17 with 17x8 and 4.8” of backspace. Could probably get a 245 in there but don’t want to risk it and don’t need the extra width.

I run a 255/60/15 and that is about as big in diameter that I can go. They are just about 27 inches tall and I have about one finger width clearance in the front.
