I'm going to replace the steering box in my 65 FB. So I thought I would go with the Flaming River box and column. I don't want to drop the headers and lift the engine, so I thought I would use the '67 box with the short shaft and '67 column. I'll cut the shaft on the stock box to remove it. Since the '67 box has the 1 1/8" sector shaft I figure I'llneed a Pitman arm from a '67. Hopefully, other than the opening for the shaft, it will be compatable with my other steering components.
So if anyone has a pitman arm from a '67-68 with manual steering that they want to let go cheap, please contact me.

The steering linkage is different on a 65/66
from a 67/68, are you sure the 67/68 pitman
arm will match up with your linkage?

Early model 67 used the 65 66 linkage and pitman arms. The 67 models produced later use the larger 1 1/8 dia, pitman arms.
