I should know this, but I don't so here goes. The 67/68 coupe overhead console was about a foot longer than the fastback version, and the fastback version has two brackets to mount it; one for the front edge and one for the back edge. Does the coupe version also have two mounting brackets or just one for the front edge?

It's been awhile, but I only remember the front one on a 68 coupe I used to have.

Yes you are correct, the coupe upper console only has a mounting bracket at the front. The fastback requires 2, front and back. fd

BTW if you need to see a pic of the rear mounting bracket, there is a VMF'ers website that shows before and after pics of his fastback restoration. Nice before pic with no headliner showing both the rear of the upper console and mounting bracket. I will have to do a little research to remember his name. :: They say the memory is the 2nd thing to go and I forgot what the first is. fd
