If this info helps, in 68 Shelby redesigned the 1/4 end caps to have a protruding ridge that would fit into the lid, so the gap between the end caps and the lid would not be apparent. Whether this necessitated a redesigned lid, I don't know.

Not if it was a 68 convertible GT-350. But otherwise, yes.

If you use the same end caps a 67 lid fits a a 68 and viceversa. They are not however the same. There are actually several different versions of 67 lids.

And the very early 67 trunks (up to maybe car # 400-#500) they used the Mustang steel bottom, with the top fiberglassed on. But, it should fit.
