Hello;

I believe my brake booster went bad today. The pedal force suddenly went way up and from the vacuum gauge I can see that when the pedal is pressed, the there is a vacuum leak. I believe that if you hold the brake, the booster should not keep bleeding vacuum?

Think it is a bad booster or perhaps the check valve?

Midland Booster by the way.

Thanks

Gary

Booster should hold vacuum. Run the engine and then shut down. You should be able to apply the brakes at least once and probably a couple times and hear vacuum bleed off with each press.
