G’day

I had a 67 master cylinder installed on may 66 and have a few questions about how it was done.

Firstly it’s a front disc, rear drum vehicle.

When doing it they removed the original proportioning valve and didn’t put the loops in the lines coming out of the master cylinder. I’ve seen some done with the original proportioning valve and loops left in the line. But they said having dual reservoirs and not supporting the proportioning valve meant the loops weren’t needed?

Cheers

The factory hard-mounted the proportioning valve and distribution block to the apron. The lines that went from MC to these units were coiled to allow flex in the line when there was movement between firewall and apron.

Thats the right way of doing it. Allowing the prop valve and dist block to free float, dangling by the hard lines, is a lame way to do it.
