I am replacing the old cheap weatherstripping I put on a few years ago with Daniel Carpenter weatherstripping from NPD. The new weatherstripping comes with a large roll of foam tape. What is the best way to use this tape? I'm guessing, tape it to the convertible top frame and then screw the weatherstripping on through the tape.
Thanks
Ivan

Yes, it goes as you said. Something tricky I saw when doing mine is that the threaded inserts in the weatherstrips do not align with the holes in the top frame. I'm sure you'll be careful to check the fit before, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Been there and did not check the fit......

Thanks Wildpat. The cheap weatherstripping I first used had some gaps and also some of the threaded inserts stripped when I put the nuts on. Hopefully, no air leaks with the new stuff.
