I have a Ford re-issue '67 deluxe instrument bezel, it is over 10 years old. The one where the words "wipers" and "brakes" on the aluminum insert are stickers instead of printed. My question is: if you took off the aluminum insert, will the plastic chromed bezel still have the slots in it, the way the earlier original style aluminum insert once attached?

Thanks

I believe the answer is yes. About 10 or 12 years back I also ordered a new instrument bezel which was produced by Ford of Canada (cost was $64.00 back then, and I damn near had a cow because it was so "expensive"). It had a really funky mylar piece instead of a real brushed aluminum face plate. I trash canned the mylar, reconditioned the face plate from the old bezel, and used it on the new one. All the necessary holes were on the new bezel to accept the tabs on the face plate. I also transferred the BRAKE/Hi-BEAM decals from the mylar piece, and they still don't show any sign of curling up on the edges.
