Ok, nothing about my car is original. It is finished with the body work and almost time to decide on paint. I know i want to go a dark charcoal gray that is set in stone. The guy that is painting ask me today will I be doing Shelby stripes.
I had not even thought about stripes. What do you guys think? Some Pearl White stripes on it might look good. Probably look good with the understated no stripes also.
I'm going to vote for just going with the solid charcoal gray. If it wasn't for Eleanor, I'd say black stripes, but that look has gotten a bit too prevalent IMO.
Charcoal gray looks great on old muscle cars. I'm looking forward to seeing yours.
Why don't you live with the solid color for a couple of years then if you want, put on the stripes. They are a lot easier to put on than to take off.
Stan
I agree with stan, drive it for awhile, take some time to decide.
Also, you can add like masking tape or something and make yourself some fake stripes, and give yourself some fun ideas to mess around with. that way if you hate it after, its only tape. then when you find the ones you love, get the real paint
