You don't mean those aluminum decor-group panels, do you?

Correct color was a dark grey color the majoity of the time and the taillight panel behind then was painted the same color before they were installed. I know some owners who claim (and MCA allows) body color but I've never seen an original car (or owned one) that were not the grey

Color is listed as Ditzler 32600

You can find a picture of a Mustrang that was originally equipped with the panels and the detail of the painted taillight panel that was behind it at http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/6473/page13.html

Hope this helps

They all came from the sub-contracter painted Acme brand Princeton Metalic Grey ! If the car opted for the two tone paint (color code followed by a 5 ) the tail light panel was painted the same color before the Q-extension were installed. Otherwise the panels were painted body color.

My experiances seem to differ a bit. Know of at least two untouched cars with the grey rear panel and no 5 in the door tag exterior color code
