First of all, where can i get nuts for a 67 strut rod? I checked 6 places today, no one had it, but one measured it out and says 11/16 fine thread. What kind of a bastard size is that? BAD FORD! If anyone out there has 2 I will pay $4 paypal if you can send them to me tommorow!

Second, one of my strut rods is straight, and the other is curved by the arm. What gives here?

'67's must be bigger than the ones on my D-coder...9/16" 18...

If they really are 11/16" NF or NS, one could always take a 5/8" 18 nut and make it into the right thread on the lathe.....ooops, street car...sorry *G*

I think 99% of us are using slightly stripped original strut rod nuts on our 67/68 strut rods...simply because nobody has them for sale... at least nobody I could find when I did it.

The origional part no. for the nut is 380460-S7 if you come across any NOS.

Last time I bought them from Ford was about ten years ago.
