help! this may be a stupid questions, but how the hell do you get the moulding on the clips? do you put the clips in first and then try to fit the moulding lips over them or do you try to fit the clips on the moulding and then put them on the trunklid? i know this probably is a dorky question, but if someone could help, it would be much appreciated. thanks,

On my 68 coupe you put the clips into either end of the moulding first, line up the studs
with the holes and insert, putting the little nuts on last.

If these are the clips I'm thinking of (threaded screw with a spring wire coming off the head?) then you put it on the molding first, then put it on the body panel and put the retaining nut on the back from the inside of the trunk lip or the extensions.
