Yes. The GT Equipment Group was mandatory for all '68 428 R-code CJ's.
I had heard that but I also seem to remember a write up in a magazine one time about one plane jane looking Mustang that was supposed to have been one of only two 428 non GTs ever built.

Of course I have slept since then and I am even older than my Mustang so my memory may be faulty.

Yes and no. The 135s were built on S code bodies, but the warranty tags were marked "R". They all had sequential unit numbers 1350xx.

Basically, they are worth far more than R codes.

The 135s were built for speed. Anything that didn't make it go faster was not included.
