I have a pair of rear tie downs I'd like to use on my car and have several questions. 68 NJ car
1. Do they mount on inside or outside of frame rail?
2. Do they point towards front or rear of car?
3. Do the bolts that go through the rail have the nut on the side opposite the bracket?
4. I know these were typically removed @ dealer but can the car be driven with them in place without interference?
Thanks,
Tim

From memory so double check

1. Outside

2. Facing rearward

3. Yes bolts with nuts - don't over tighten

4. Yes they can interfere with the exhaust tips and in turn produce rubbing and an annoying rattle. Ford released a technical service bulletin a couple of times to remind dealers to remove. ... I guess there were enough cars coming back with complaints to the service center to warrant the bulletins
