·Basic difference is GT500 has a 428 Police Interceptor engine and GT500KR has 428 Cobrajet engine. Everything else is minor.
Carroll Shelby wrote a nice article about the difference in a Mustang Mag. a couple of years ago. He kind of laughed when they asked him if the KR was a faster car. Only difference according to him was the cosmetics and the $$ Gary
