My brother and I are working on his '68 coupe (standard interior)

He's missing the lever, latch and rod mechanism for one of his standard bucket seats. This is the assembly that allows the seat back to be hinged forward for access to the back passenger area. He also needs the stops that provide a point of contact between the seat back and base.

Anyone know of a source for these parts? The local mustang parts yard will only sell the seats complete at $250 - $300 a pop...we'd like to salvage the seats he has.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe a big used parts place might have the parts. I looked for a long time for one of the stops for my old '68. I was lucky enuf to find a parts place that would sell me the stop alone. Might also try to figure out what other seats might have the same stops...Cougar etc..

Contact Colorado Mustang Supply in Aurora, Colorado. They'll probably have one available.
