68 toploader 4 speed shifter

I have a 4 speed toploader with the original 68 shifter with the reverse lockout lever (the lever that must be pulled to get the tranny into reverse). Its not the T-bar style lockout lever, its the disk shaped lockout lever. Presently, there's a pin holding the disk shaped lockout lever to the shifter arm, and it's about 1 inch too long so it sticks out on both ends. I'm sure this is not the correct type pin. Does anyone know which pin is correct? How is the disk held in there???

I think the round reverse lockout collar means that it is a Galaxie shifter. The restorer just replaced one on my wifes A-code, after realizing that the bottom mounting bracket didn't align with the new shift lever. When he described it to Mustangs Unlimited, they said it was a Galaxie shifter. The pin holding the round collar is just press fit.
