I'm pretty sure that there is a difference between the 1969 and the 1970 NOS Front spoilers. Is there anyway to identify which one I have?

I had ordered a front spoiler from Ford for my 1970 Shelby 30 years ago & got the wrong one & just hung onto it. Ufortunately the box fell apart so I have no part number.

There will be a casting/service ID number on the part itself. Obviously, if it's DOZB then it's a 70, C9ZB it's a 69.

They're easy to identify by looking at the mounting holes. '69 spoilers have extra material/tabs around three mounting holes - one in the middle and one on each side. '70 spoilers don't have those three large tabs, but rather have more (10 or 12?) mounting holes that are simply evenly-spaced across the uniform mounting face.

amorrow is correct. They found that the 69 cars didn't have enough mounting tabs and broke easily, so in 70 they added more mounting locations. They still break too darn easy though
