I've been living with a dented hood molding for way too long - All the repro's I've seen are either too short, too light guage, or have the same issue mine has - dimpled at the very tip of the bend! Other than the $400 NOS stuff ~ Any suggestions? jc
I tried to put on some repro hood molding last night. It looked pretty good accept for the tip of molding is held away from the hood by about a 1/16. I guess the only way to get good repro parts is if you live close enough to a parts store to check them out before buying. I have seen some really nice repro's; must just be hit or miss.
I know your pain,i,ve tried two ropo ones & as you said they were both short about a 1/8 either end, after the first one i gave NPD the measurements of the origanal one, the measurement of the hood & the measurements of the repo, they went through hole stock measuring & when it arrived what,ya know still short.I ended up just getting my origanal one straightened.
