Well its been a long wait ... I sold my old coupe (a project car w/lots of engine/suspension work) and received word from the shippers that they are on the way! You can see my old car at : http://www.edotek.com/mustang/mustang.html
Anyhow, I bought the mach for $4000 (all options, 4 spd, etc...) minus engine (Mcode). Which was'nt too bad considering the shape its in.
The problem was shipping ($900) and then I had to get a class III trailer hitch installed ($300), so now I'm waiting for the call tomorrow and I get to drive down and pick it up. About a 4 hour trip (could not find a price that was reasonable to Canada).
JC I'll be glad when this is over. After blowing so much cash I'm just going to do bodywork (sanding mainly, its an Arizona car with great metal) and detail the engine compartment over the next few months. I have buddy coming over with the 351W HO sometime next weekend. Bought an engine stand for $39 (thats CDN too!), over at Princess Auto in Calgary here ..... nice piece actually, 750 lbs should be a good limit?
Well I'm "working from home" tomorrow, so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope the darn thing has'nt fallen off the truck yet
.
One question though .... I am thinking of doing something cool for a paint scheme .. its originally a black on red car, but I was thinking of going with red, yellow or blue on black, and instead of using the blackout hood, doing some hood stripes in my contrast colour (red, yellow or blue), in the form of the 70 boss style,...minus the stripes going down the side tho .... has this been done on a 69 before? I'm hoping for some pictures ... otherwise its off to the model shop to try out different schemes
.
