'69 Mach floormats

When I bought my Mach it had aftermarket floormats thrown over the carpeting. Under the mats was this red vinyl insert sewn into the carpet. I thought it looked pretty ugly; why would anyone do that; and I sure don't remember my Mach I owned in 1971 looking like that. Then I looked at the pics of Sean's new Mach, and it also has those red inserts.

Was that original? Did I just forget?

I believe that the insert is original. P.S. How did you get the picture on your reply? Photopoint is often troublesome...

Just lucky I guess. I really had to work at getting the pic to come up (and I'd like it smaller, but never did figure that out).

Actually, it is an old pic (98) from the former owner, but it looks even better now because IT'S MINE! Seriously, it's in the same condition...California car...still has original 1969 plates on it! I'm a very lucky girl ;-)

Yeah, I asked the guy we got our Mach from if they were the original floormats, because I agree, they are kinda ugly...anyways....he said they were original. There were almost black when we got the car though....all the mud and muk all over them. Took a while to clean...

Yes the carpet inserts, as they are referred to were part of the Mach I package your year
