Everything outta the old plug on regulator is dead .... except for the I terminal, Green/Red.
Connect that to the Light Green/Red on the 3G. Dont run Light Green/Red to the solenoid.

That is the only VR wire that I needed for my conversion. Its the 12V switched from the ignition switch which tells the alternator to charge when the car is running.

I also used this PA Performance conversion harness at the 3G to simplify the wiring there:
