I'm looking at a 69 Mustang and I'm concerned about it being a correct car. It has the correct title but it's missing some VIN stampings. Besides the dash (missing), driver's door warranty plate (in place, but wrong rivets), and under the passenger side fender (missing), where else might the VIN be stamped?

Does Marti Autoworks or anyone else reproduce the dash VIN plate?

A partial VIN might also be stamped on the apron under the driver's side fender, on the engine block, and on the transmission case. Location depends on the type of engine and transmission, and all bets are off if the engine and tranny aren't original.
