I'm getting ready to do a run on a 70 Mustang convertible with a 302 small block. I'm going to use a G-tech to measure latteral Gs. I weighed the car down at the salvage yard but I was wondering what the advertsied curb wieght of a 70 convertible from Ford was? anybody know? Thanks

P.S. - it came in (without driver) at 3340 pounds.

According to the "Ford Chronicle" the weight is 2,932 pounds and another book 3,016.

hey My 73 vert came in at 3860lbs. According the the Mustang illustrated facts and spec manual, my 73 is 3251 with a 6cyl. so I guess the 429 weighs 609 lbs more than a 6cyl. But I don't think so.

Those figures are probably a base convertible with a straight 6, manual transmission, no power steering, no radio, manual top, etc
