Looking in my books I see that a 69 mustang with a floor shift has a seperate sheet metal type housing that the shift boot mounts to. Does the 70 have the same thing? Thanks

I've never seen a Mustang of any year with a seperate floor shifter housing. You must have a diagram of a Falcon, Fairlane, etc. My 70 Torino GT has a shifter housing, as it has a console and floor shift automatic, which was an option over the column shifter.

The auto shifter in a Stang mounts directly to the transmission tunnel. BTW, no Mustang has ever come with anything but a floor shifter.....
