I solved my gauges problem with a recent purchase of a OE tach gauge set. After doing some research, I found that the variable inductance ford tach will not work directly with my Crane Hi 6 CD Ignition. Crane say's I need to use MSD tach adapter. The old tach internals have parts that deteriorate over time (magnets, springs, etc) so I would expect some repair work is needed. I am weighing out using Redline Gauge Works Redline Gauge Works to retrofit my tach with VDO internals. The retrofit price seems reasonable and has a 2 yr warranty. The only visual difference will be three wires instead of two. Has anyone used Redline? Hiow about the retrofit of VDO any opinions? Feedback is requested. Thanks

I used the Redline gauge works retro fit a few months ago. Turned out great. The turnaround time to do the retrofit was only a few days. Very happy withe their service. Scott
