is the part that goes across the back just under the rear window stamped steel ? I have a part that I thought was for a 69/70 folddown assy but I'm told they were all fiberglass. is the one for 71-3 steel or is this part for something else entirely ??? all help is appreciated greatly.

The 71-73 folddown part that goes across the back just under the rear window "is" made of stamped steel. Does your part have a Ford part # on it?

no part #'s that I can find but that doesn't mean they aren't there. it has a slight curve on one edge and the other edge is flat. the ends are bent in a strange wedge shape(to blend in with the B pillar panel ?)

Sounds like that is the 71-73 part.
