I have a 71 mercury cyclone spoiler .red on red ..nice interior and body.does. need sum work.exp carbutor..does run..has big dent in right fender and that's only body damage it had as far as I see..has orginal engine and tras..automatic trans..good tires.. hard starting ..is very much driveable....will run too..has the 429 scj jet engine. Only made 348 of these cars..in. dam great condition compared to others I've seen..cash only in person...text me at [email protected]. very interested parties only please..can start and show you it run's ..orginal carbutor isn't all that good ..only thing bad about the car...has orginal oil cooler..orginal motor & setup.
Interesting car there. You might want to share a picture with the hood open if you are going to say it has a "jet" engine in it. Very interested parties would no doubt be very interested in what the interior looks like too, as most of that stuff is VERY hard to source these days.

My bad...it's a 429 cobra jet engine I believe they actually call it a scj engine.if I'm not mistaken..

SCJ engines had different carbs, rods, maybe even cams if I recall. A SCJ is probably worth more and more rare than a CJ. I would love to have either. Someone with more knowledge than me will probably chime in.

The thread was moved to a more appropriate section to hopefully help you find a buyer more easily. I'm sorry we do not have section for selling cars that aren't Mustangs. Properly calling the engine now a "scj" instead of "jet" in the title was a good move for you too, I thought.

Just to start, you're asking $50K for a car that, while it may be worth that, you couldn't even be bothered to wash.
IMO, get a Deluxe Marti Report so you know exactly what you have, as you seem to be confused as to whether it's a "(thunder) jet", "cobra jet" or "scj", all of which are very different engines and will have very different values.
You can also use this PDF to decode the door data tag so you can at least write a factual ad. Like it or not, at this price level "numbers" have a lot of meaning to people.
