Just wondering if the stock Ram-air plenum and air cleaner combination will work if I have converted to an Edelbrock Performer Intake and 1406 carb on my 351C (was 2 barrel)? Thanks in advance for any info.

IIRC, the performer is slightly taller than a stock manifold, but I don't believe it's enough to hurt.

Mine actually took a 1/2 spacer. Exact same setup as yours. Helped the throttle linkage line up better too.

The biggest problem I had with this combo (Performer intake, Edelbrock carb and ram air) was the transmission kickdown linkage and rod. The "add-on" linkage for the kickdown rod sucked. The kickdown rod hit the bottom of the air cleaner and the back of the intake. The throttle linkage didn't line up properly any more and I had to make a custom bracket to relocate that.

Finally I got a Lokar cable to replace the kickdown rod. It enabled me to get rid of the extra carb linkage and use my original throttle bracket.
