I recently purchased a 73 Mach w/FMX trans. The trans does not kick down into second once I am rolling unless I do it manually. What are the possible causes other than the kick down linkage being disconnected? Other than that it shifts fine no problems. Thanks for the input.

It could also be connected but mis-adjusted. When I hooked mine up after rebuilding the carb, I had to mess around with the setting on the adjustment nut to get it to pull in at WOT. Got it right after about 3 tries/forums/images/icons/smile.gif!
