opinions needed.i found a 73 mach frame rails are all good cowls are decent aluninum rims are there but in poor looking shape.all the panels fenders doors quarters need major work just rust the tail corner is bent in not to major small crimp by tail light .cracked windshield dash is shot floor pans needed front and rear but not to severe also the trunk floor has some rot .orig 351c with holly carb headers c6 9inch rear malory ignition .the nasa hood needs some work by the latch and has twist lock setup.grill needs to be replaced but is all there lights emblem etc.and the head liner is down and no rug would yous think 500-600$ would be worth the effort to restore the car yellow exterior ginger interior

For 500-600, I'd do it, if not for just having something to tinker w/, but I'm biased /forums/images/icons/wink.gif... It'd cost some money to get driveable again, but that NASA hood alone usually pulls down around 700, not to mention the small block C6, the 9 inch rear, and the 4V C (not a 2V, they came w/ the FMX), so it is worth it in parts...

thats how i felt in parts alone its worth the money and i have alot of parts from a previous fastback to boot.now to persude my better half thant this car being yellow with grey primer spots allover it looks good sitting in the carport behind my 71 coupe

If you have the time, go for it. If it ends up that you don't have the time to restore it, it sounds like the parts are worth it anyway.

Sounds like a good project - good luck.
BTW, there WERE 351C-2V cars built with the C-6 instead of FMX - I had one. It was a 73 Mach 1, H code engine, U code trans., Gold Glow/Black.
