I am in the process of installing a wiring harness behind the dash in a '73 Mach 1. The harness is from a '72 fastback. Everything has matched up so far except for the connection to the steering column. The electrical connectors are similar, but different and won't connect. Both the 72 parts car, and the '73 have standard steering columns with no extra options. Has anyone noticed this before? Does anybody have any ideas, short of swapping the steering columns to help me out?

Could you splice the steering column connector from the 72 onto your 73 harness? Are the wires all the same, just a different connector?
