While climbing under the car to examine the power steering hoses I am replacing, I found that one of the bottom-most bolt lugs on the bellhousing had previously been sheered off when the car had been backed up. In addition, the metal shroud (like a stiff gasket) that would usually sit flush against the bellhousing is peeled back about a 1/4". Is this area supposed to be an oil tight seal? The whole area is really grimey, and makes it hard for me to tell if this was the source for a leak, or the previous leaks from both the rear of the intake manifold and the power steering hoses are the real culprits.
