Here is the problem.. Somehow, other than plain ol' retardedness, I threw out the timing pointer when I rebuilt the engine. I know that it attaches to the drivers side because of the passenger side pump discharge, but when I went to find new pointer, I found two different kinds. Maybe those with a 351 can help me out and tell me which is the correct one to buy. Here are the pics...

Number 1

Number 2

Thanks guys!! ::

Number one is for a '67-'69. Number two is for '70/later. Where did you find that '70/later one, as last I'd heard, they weren't made in reproduction?

Edited for clarification:
No. 1 bolts to the driver's side of the timing chain cover using the pictured bolt (and the boss in the timing chain cover) and 1 timing chain cover bolt.

No. 2 bolts to the passenger side fo the timing chain cover using 2 timing chain cover bolts.

I figured it was the 1st one, but wasn't for sure positive. The second is an original piece I found on flea-bay.

Thanks for your help! I think every time I have a question you are always all over it!! Maybe I should just address all my questions to you. ::
