Well snapped some photos of my 66 convertible (76B body, 289-2V, 4 speed, powersteering) as it looks now to go with some photos taken before and after restoration (through in some shots at end of how floors, engine and axle looked at end).It wasn't pretty to start, and I paid a $1000 for that mess! If anyone wants to see, click on link below. It may take a moment to load all 14 pictures.

It looked like more, but I was able to find the build sheet still taped to the wiring harness,Car was actually more solid than it looked, front frame rails and rear quarters weren't that bad, it was just that there was nothing in the middle ! I guess after it's days of tearing up and down the street, it sat at a garage for years outside with the top rotting away, and someone borrowed the tranny. My next project is a 64 fairlane, in way better shape, should be a breeze compared to last two.

Great job! My car is very comparable to your "in progress" photos. Good rockers and frame rails, but cheesy floors. It's good to see that it is possible to finish one of these things.

Wow! Did you bead blast or chemical dip to remove body rust? Is a modern drivetrain in the plan--5.0L EFI, Tremec 3550 and 3.89 gears? A project car is a blank canvas. It's going to be a beauty when it's finished. Good luck!

Exhaust is pretty close when up in the air on hoist, but when let down on the car's suspension there is ample clearance. The beer story I have to say corresponds to every every burn and scrape I recieved along the way!
